I’m proud to announce that this month The Art of Tall turns 1 year old.
It’s been one hell of a journey so far. I work full-time so this site is built in my spare time and takes quite a bit of planning and work but I love it. I’m always thinking about ways to make this site better and striving to provide quality content to help as many tall people as I can.
I still have a long way to go to make this site exactly how I imagine it to be but every day I’m getting one step closer.
At the start of 2016 my goal was to create a website for tall people covering every day tall-related issues. The aim was to share my experiences and advice about fashion, health, mindset, problems, successes, psychology and travel. I never thought this site would grow as much as it has nor did I think I would get such a positive reaction from people all around the world.
As of today:
- I’ve published 53 articles (that averages to about 1 article per week).
- Traffic to my site is slowly growing, all thanks to you!
The top 3 most read articles from 2016
It turns out there was a high demand for articles reviewing clothing and explaining gym movements specific for tall people. Given the feedback received I will be writing many more articles along these lines so stay tuned. In the meantime, if you haven’t read my top 3 articles yet, you can read them below:
- My review of Charles Tyrwhitt slim fit and extra slim fit shirts
- My analysis of why some gym movements are harder for tall people
- My review of Charles Tyrwhitt tapered chinos
Art of Tall in 2017
It’s now the start of 2017 and I’m feeling excited about what this year will have in store for the Art of Tall.
My goal is to continue growing this site to make it the best that it can be. To achieve this I’m going to review and update my older articles. More importantly I’m going to streamline this site into 3 main categories: Mind, Body and Style.
When I set out to create this site I tried to cover as many categories as possible (hacks, fashion, humour, problems, successes etc). Whilst these are all valid and important categories for tall people I felt that the site did not have a clear sense of direction. Thus, by streamlining the site into 3 main “topic areas” I will be able to provide a better sense of direction.
Here is what each category will cover:
1. Mind
Change your mindset and change your life!
Being tall we attract a lot of attention from people wherever we go. It is thus absolutely vital that we have a strong mindset and belief in ourselves to stand tall and be proud. In this category I will cover:
- building confidence;
- developing strong body language;
- psychology studies about being tall;
- issues tall people face and how best to overcome them.
2. Body
This will cover everything to help you sculpt your body and look your best. I’ll be focusing on:
- nutrition to show you how you can put on mass (something I’m currently working on for myself) if you are skinny;
- what to do if you are skinny-fat and want to change you body;
- delicious and simple recipes to help you reach your goals;
- a variety of workouts for tall people, focusing on the challenges for a person with longer limbs and how they can be overcome.
3. Style
Whilst the ‘body’ section will focus on how to look good naked, I want to also cover how to look amazing clothed. The ‘style’ section will cover everything you need to know about dressing sharp and turning heads. This will also include more clothing reviews and recommendations.
That’s all from me for now. Stay tuned and be sure to check back regularly as this site will be changing throughout the year.
In the meantime: what would you like to see more or less of on The Art of Tall?
Let me know in the comments below or send me an email here.
I want this site to be the best it can be for you so your help will be greatly appreciated.
Stand tall, be proud of your height and strive for greatness.
